1. Achebe’s presentation of the Egwugu Court:

iv) Maintains a sense of homogeneity; it is a communal activity, inclusive of the the people, that reinforces that the divine and ordinary are linked.
2. Significant to the Umuofian people is the constant interaction between the living and dead; visible and invisible, and material and spiritual.
3. Compare Egwugwu Court to the white man’s justice:
i) White man’s justice is open to moral corruption and deceit.
