1. Learners to list 5 heroes and write a sentence explaining why they consider each individual to be a hero.
2. MIND MAP the qualities of a hero.
3. Through a discussion of the qualities, the class arrives at a unanimous definition of a hero.

4. Learners to relook at their list of heroes. Are there any idols on the list? Can an idol be a hero?
